Aviation Week’s MRO Asia-Pacific Awards Recognizes Aplus Executive’s Exceptional Impact

Aviation Week’s MRO Asia-Pacific has stood at the forefront of the commercial aviation aftermarket, bringing together industry leaders and a world-class exhibition to spark insights, inspire innovation, and foster meaningful collaboration across the region.
Each year, the MRO Asia-Pacific Awards celebrate leaders and pioneers shaping the industry’s future. Now in its sixth year, the awards were held at the Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore, on September 15, 2025, where Aviation Partnership Philippines (Aplus) once again stood in the spotlight. Following its win for Marketing Campaign of the Year in 2023, Aplus proudly brought home the MRO Leadership of the Year award, a recognition of its growing influence and dynamic progress.
At the heart of this success is Jeffrey S. Magadia, the Manager for Marketing, Business Development & Analytics of Aplus. Known as a rare hybrid in the MRO industry, Magadia blends the technical expertise of an aircraft maintenance professional with the strategic foresight of a business leader. His ability to bridge operations and executive direction has been helpful to Aplus’ transformation.
More than affirming Aplus as the largest line maintenance provider in the Philippines, built on client trust and operational excellence, this marks its recognition as a fully operational MRO.
Magadia expressed his gratitude to the whole Aplus Team for the trust in the shared vision and for turning strategies into reality. He believes that every milestone, achievement, and every breakthrough this award represents the power of unity.

“This is more than an individual accolade. It is a testament to what trust, teamwork, and shared purpose can achieve. It is a testament to what trust, teamwork, and shared purpose can achieve.”
Jeffrey S. Magadia, Manager for Marketing, Business Development & Analytics
Aplus’ core initiatives are not just to meet the standard call of duty as an MRO but to set out to outgrow the mold entirely. Its plans include expanding into specialized service sectors, reimagining turnarounds with improved data-driven technology, and building a culture where innovation isn’t a department, but it will be part of the hangar air. This isn’t about doing the routine; it’s about reshaping it.
“This award has reminded me that leadership is never about position or title. True leadership is measured by how you work with people beyond your direct command, and how you inspire and influence those who do not report to you. That, to me, is the power of genuine leadership.”
Magadia added.

General Manager Rico M. Ugdoracion, in his LinkedIn post, also shared that this award goes beyond recognition, but an inspiring story of growth, a call for young leaders to rise, shine, and contribute to the success of the aviation industry.
Aplus has come a long way to earn its place in the aviation industry, but its greatest strength has always been its people, the heart behind every milestone.
As the company continues to expand its capabilities and pursue new innovations, it remains committed to being a trusted partner in driving excellence that keeps aviation moving forward. More than awards or industry standing, Aplus’ growth is fueled by the hope and opportunities it seeks to create for the people it supports.
